FAQ

Common questions from buyers.

Use these questions to define the product category, approved configuration and evidence needed before sample and bulk-order approval.
Which vehicle category fits my project?
Start with use, route, local vehicle classification, speed, payload, battery, charging and service requirements. Then compare e-bike, moped, motorcycle and mobility-scooter platforms; do not choose by styling or motor wattage alone.
Should I start from an existing model or request OEM/ODM development?
Use an existing reference model when its frame, dimensions and system architecture already fit the market. Use OEM for controlled branding and specification changes. Use ODM when new structure, tooling or system integration is required and the project can support development and validation.
What must be confirmed before a model is quoted?
Provide the target market, vehicle category, expected quantity, target price level, required speed and range, payload, battery preference, branding, packaging, certification documents and delivery window. Jimsen then confirms the feasible reference configuration and items that require development.
What determines the battery and motor configuration?
The complete system must match vehicle mass, payload, route, gradient, speed limit, range target, controller, braking, thermal conditions and local rules. A higher voltage or wattage is not automatically the better commercial choice.
How are MOQ and sample charges confirmed?
MOQ is quoted after the model, configuration, branding, packaging and component availability are defined. Samples are charged; the agreed sample cost can be credited according to the commercial terms of the subsequent volume order.
Which branding and packaging items can be customized?
Project scope can include colors, logo positions and processes, displays, selected components, packaging boxes, manuals and shipping cartons. Tooling ownership and exclusivity are documented for projects that require dedicated molds.
What should buyers verify on a sample?
Check the approved specification, dimensions, controls, braking, lighting, charging, payload, route and gradient behavior, range under defined conditions, labels, assembly, packaging and service access. Record the sample version and approved changes before production.
Can compliance documents be arranged for my market?
Certification and test-document requirements are reviewed for each target market and selected configuration. Jimsen can coordinate required work, but no category-wide certificate or approval applies automatically to every model or project.
What affects the production and delivery schedule?
Timing depends on whether the project uses an existing platform or new development, plus component availability, tooling, sample approval, certification work, packaging, order quantity and normal or peak-season production load. The schedule is confirmed for the approved project rather than stated as a universal promise.
